Aloe Vera Face Rub

Hi There!
Although this blog is named 'Cindy's Crafty Craves', it's important to note that I'm not going to just post craft projects. I also have passions for DIY beauty remedies, shopping, tips and tricks, fashion and food. :)

Today I will be showing you how to make some amazing, refreshing aloe vera facial strips, that melt as you rub them on your face.

Aloe Vera has many amazing benefits for your skin:
  • Treats sunburn (obviously)
  • Natural Moisturizer - great for people with oily skin
  • Treats acne - contains natural hormones which reduce inflammation
  • Fights aging - contains vitamins which keep the skin hydrated and lock in the natural firmness of the skin
  • Natural skin brightener and toner
For more in depth information visit:

Materials:
  • Aloe Vera
  • Ziplock Bag
  • Scissors

Method:
1. Cut some lengths of fresh aloe vera
2. Clean them, cut them to a suitable length
3. Cut the spikes off the edges
4. Peel the aloe vera strip apart so you are left with two strips (you may need to make a cut with a knife to make it easier)
5. Place your strips into a ziplock bag and put them in the freezer for around 4 hours. (Your strips should be crystallized)
6. Simply rub the icy aloe vera strips into your face. These will melt on your face as you rub, leaving fresh, hydrated skin. Ta-da! Refreshing facial rubs!
